Treatment is holistic in nature and based on Neurodevelopmental Therapy (NDT). With this problem solving approach, the child is addressed as a whole and intervention is individualised to meet specific goals. Developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities are used to encourage active participation, enhance mobility and maximize the sensory potential of the child.

"My son was born with low muscle tone. Unlike other babies, he was unable to perform natural and normal movements. Normals activities which most people take for granted was very difficult for him. Things like moving his limb, having good head control, rolling and crawling,

I was referred to Ms Shalini by my Paediatrician. I found her to be very skilled in handling my baby. She encouraged me and gave me alot of assurance. Through her care, my son was able to reach his milestone much sooner than expected. I have recommended her services to a few of my friends and all of them have improved greatly. We are sincerely thankful for all the assistance we have received from her."

My daughter Olivia was born premature with hypotonia. She needed heart surgery at 3 months and failed to thrive. We noticed she wasn't able to move around too much, seemed a little unresponsive and could not lift her head. This was hard, particularly in a place like Singapore where there were babies everywhere and proud parents watching and sharing those milestones.

All our lives became easier when we found Shalini who was referred to us by our paediatrician.

Shalini has that invaluable and rare blend of professional yet caring and patient approach. She treated Olivia with such respect yet through her knowledge and expertise was determined in helping her progress. Alongside this, she was such a comfort and support to me. she helped me see how best I could provide my daughter with what she needed and keep strong in the process. She had such patience and demonstrated much empathy which helped us. What made the most difference was her knowledge and understanding of what challenges Olivia was facing. She helped her go from not really moving to actively moving from toy A to toy B - Oh! ...and towards me too (as opposed to me always reaching out to her). There was significant progress all round.

Years on, we remain indebted to Shalini.

Our 19 month old baby was not walking and was quite resistant to even trying! Shalini, helped us understand his body better and what might be constraining him. She taught us ways we can work on his weaker body parts to make him feel more confident to try walking. And it happened like clock work, just like she said! Four days into practicing her recommendations, he started taking a few steps without us even pushing him to try. And within 10 days he was walking around the whole house!! Shalini helped us when our doctor was giving us all sorts of alarming possibilities on why our baby wasn't walking. We will always be super thankful that we met Shalini and she helped us deal with the problem in the most calm, confident and effective manner. Thank you!
